Job Overview
The Account Executive, Federal sells products and services to highly sensitive federal (Civilian or DoD) accounts with a focus on small town rural 5G federal government institutions. They leverage experience in handling large and complex accounts and work directly with clients at the senior management level, developing profitable new business account relationships. They devote a substantial amount of time in direct, face-to-face contact with prospective clients, exercise a high level of judgment and decision-making authority to generate significant growth in the federal business segment.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Develops profitable new account relationships in the Department of Defense (DOD)/Federal Civilian vertical.
  • Travels regularly to assigned military bases within a territory to meet with existing and prospective clients (up to 40% travel monthly)
  • Drives new business through partnerships with external sales/cold calling efforts.
  • Identifies and solicits business opportunities based on knowledge of clients, markets, products, and services.
  • Makes sales presentations to current and prospective DOD/Federal Civilian clients.
  • Documents sales activities using our CRM platform to organize territory.
  • Implements and maintains an effective referral network and call program to promote sales.
  • Collaborates with internal partners within Government and throughout the enterprise to build a successful network of internal advocates to support continuity and growth within the Public Sector.
  • Establishes and maintains positive public relationships within the community to enhance the organization's image and promote new business.
  • Education:
  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
  • Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
  • Work Experience:
  • 2-4 years Sales experience in an acquisition capacity (Required)
  • Less than 2 years Previous sales/relationship management and RFPs/RFQs within the Federal space. Experience in managing complex corporate and/or government RFPs. (Preferred)
  • Less than 2 years Experience selling postpaid products within a Federal vertical is a plus. (Preferred)
  • Less than 2 years Wireless industry or technical sales experience. (Preferred)
  • Less than 2 years Business markets sales experience. (Preferred)
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Technical Sales Advanced knowledge of sales and sales strategies, strong negotiation and decision-making skills (Required)
  • Customer Satisfaction Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously to build and maintain client trust and satisfaction (Required)
  • Communication Excellent interpersonal, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills (Required)
  • Presentations Excellent marketing and business development/sales skills (Required)
  • Problem Solving Ability to creatively resolve complex problems with general guidance (Required)
  • Cross Functional Team Building Experience partnering with team members and building cross-functional professional relationships (Required)
  • Microsoft Excel (Preferred)
  • Licenses and Certifications:

    • At least 18 years of age
    • Legally authorized to work in the United States

    Total Target Cash Pay Range: $104,400 - $188,400, inclusive of target incentives

    Base Pay Range: $73,080 - $131,880

    The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in this role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.
