Job Overview
This position is the first level individual contributory project manager and is responsible for working on a diverse range of small to mid-size projects. Projects may be technical in nature and have implications and impacts associated with the T-Mobile enterprise wide systems/system applications, network, and telecommunication/product devices. This position will manage work utilizing standard project management methodologies, processes/procedures – projects have clear start/end dates; specific manpower resource allocations; budgets and are clearly identified as a "project" by the business.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Creates and drives project status reporting and meetings as communication and management tools to ensure project health and to provide transparency to risks and issues that require stakeholder support and action. Establishes and maintains strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Identifies in a proactive mode potential risks to the project that are likely but possible and putt in place risk mitigation plans to alleviate them should they occur using team as a validation point.
  • Creates a project schedule through defining needed activities, sequencing, resourcing, estimation of durations and resources; validates schedule with team. Uses the schedule as a communication and management tool to ensure project stays on schedule, making needed adjustments to address project exceptions.
  • Works with knowledge and project team input to accurately define Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and scope definition to provide a common understanding of the project. Uses planning, estimating and controlling skills to ensure scope creep does not occur. Can manage and help others to understand the impact of change.
  • Leads cross-functional or multi-team effort in defining budgeting process for a project, provide and through knowledge and team input initial estimates to drive the business case, define monthly budget forecasts, collect actuals from finance, identifies areas of potential variance early in the forecasting process, and provides an accurate report on variance to leadership.
  • Plans, identifies, and documents project quality standards. Works with stakeholders and project team to align deliverables with requirements. Works with project team to understand customer experience and minimizes negative impact to customer. Adheres and manages to standard processes and change boards. Works with project team and stakeholders to establish Go/No-Go decision points and quality control points to ensure project deliverables meet expectations. Assesses quality of documentation and deliverables. Mitigates issues through validation and test using both QAT and UAT methodologies. Works with stakeholders to make informed decisions on quality factors that can be compromised. Communicates any gaps in design and sets realistic expectations on deliverables. Follows through and closes all of defined exceptions.
  • Validates prepared statement of work, RFIs and RFPs per project objectives and manages vendor against stated deliverables and communicates and ensure compliance with company standards and values. Proactively identifies and recommends improvements to standard processes and procedures. Actively participates in the implementation of changes to standard processes and procedures.


Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree Business Administration, Project Management ()
  • - Formal project management work experience.

Base Pay Range: $64,300 - $116,100

Corporate Bonus Target: 10%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year.
