Job DescriptionThe Sr Security Data Engineer designs and develops data architectures in on-premise, cloud and hybrid platforms. The Sr Security Data Engineer collaborates with Data and Security Engineers on analysis, architecture, design, and development of data warehouse and SIEM solutions. This role mentors team members in their efforts to build data engineering abilities. This position will primarily focus on the ingestion of security data into our centralized platform by helping to build a scalable and robust security data pipeline.
Job Responsibilities
Develop data engineering solutions, including data pipelines, visualization and analytical tools
Design and develop data architectures in on-premise, cloud and hybrid platforms
Data wrangling of heterogeneous data, exploration and discovery in pursuit of new security insights
Actively contribute to the team’s knowledge and drive new capabilities forward
Mentor other team members in their efforts to build data engineering abilities
Assist team management in defining projects, including helping estimate, plan and scope work
Prepare and contribute to presentations required by management
Design and develop data architectures in on-premise, cloud and hybrid platforms
Education
Bachelor's Degree Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent work experience
Work Experience
4-7 years Experience in info security technology or related field
Expert in security subject areas
2-4 years Technical Project Management
Experience with high level design architecture, security technologies, Networking, web services and SOA. Understanding of encryption, obfuscation, tokenization technologies
Highly Desired Skills and Experience
Experience working with MS Sentinel and other Azure services.
Building security data pipelines to support security operations (SIEM).
Building and maintaining databases and data warehouses.
Scripting knowledge
Operationalizing data pipelines for large datasets (100TB+)
Building SIEM and other logging platforms
Familiarity with data pipline tools

Base Pay Range: $103,400 - $186,400Corporate Bonus Target: 15%
The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.
At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
