Job OverviewThe Sr Labor Relations Manager provides subject matter expertise and consultation on all matters related to the requirements of the National Labor Relations Act.
Job Responsibilities:
- Leadership Accountability: May lead a functional leadership team in the management of union organizing campaigns.
- Functional Areas of Responsibility: Labor Relations
- Develops strategies in support of the T-Mobile position on unions which protect the rights of employees and management while respecting the rights of labor organizations.
- Provides coaching to HR business partners and business leaders on complex employee relations issues related to union organizing and contract negotiations to maximize compliance and minimize the risk of unfair labor practice charges.
- Provides on-site planning and support during union organizing activites, consulting with internal and external Legal counsel, coaching managers regarding NLRB election procedures, developing employee communication strategies, and partnering with DT counterparts to manage public relations impacts in the US and Germany.
- Supports contract negotiations activites such as contract costing, record keeping, and research of collective bargaining trends both inside and outside the telecommunications industry.
- Maintains a working knowledge of decisions and trends of the National Labor Relations Board and recommends strategic actions to protect management rights.
- Partners with Legal to investigate and resolve unfair labor practice charges, grievances, and misleading or false union statements.
- Administers requirements of collective bargaining agreements; develops and maintains professional working relationship with labor organizations representing T-Mobile employees.
- Monitors union organizing communication and activity and consults with key stakeholders on approriate responses including: external correspondence with politicians, investment funds, and non-government organizations; internal employee communications; media inquiries; executive messaging, etc.
- Develops and delivers Labor Relations training for leaders as required.
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree Human Resources or related field ()
- 7-10 years - Human Resources experience, with a strong emphasis on Labor Relations.

- Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) (Preferred)
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) (Preferred)
- At least 18 years of age

Candidate’s pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience. At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
