T-Mobile Advertising Solutions (T-Ads), a division of T-Mobile USA, is a new business unit within the Marketing, Innovation and Experiences division passionate about solving some of the biggest struggles in the media advertising industry. T-Ads is looking for an experienced Strategy & Planning professional. The Sr Manager, Strategy & Planning supports planning and execution for strategic and operational activities aimed at maximizing time spent and quality of discussion for senior leadership. This role coordinates and drives projects of high importance and high visibility and requires a high degree of business acumen, discretion, urgency, and strong project management skills to be successful, including but not limited to operating rhythm, business case development, business planning, and strategic initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading strategic initiatives and cross-functional initiatives for T-Ads, plans and executes them through a variety of means, most of which require intensive collaboration with business teams across the organization.
  • Accountable for maintaining and supporting operating rhythm and process management for T-Ads Senior Leadership Team, including agenda-setting across multiple meeting forums, designing productive agendas for leadership team off-sites, sharing action items and follow-ups to key business owners, and a data model that ties time spent across the rhythm back to the T-Ads priorities.
  • Support evaluating new business opportunities, including assess industry trends and market opportunity, evaluate target customers, create business case, and map out a business plan.
  • Deliver on special projects as assigned, using a creative and strategic approach to scoping and solving across a diverse range of subject matter.
  • Also responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned by business management as needed.
  • Lead a small team of high-performing Individual Contributors, all with strong generalist skillsets.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree Finance, Economics, Engineering, Statistics or related field (Required)
  • Master's/Advanced Degree MBA – Finance, Strategy, Economics (Preferred)

Work Experience:

  • 7-10 years Strategy and Problem Solving. Experience in framing complex problems, identifying key issues that impact business decisions and providing data driven recommendations.
  • 7-10 years Financial modeling and Analytics. Experience in developing financial models and performing financial and operating analysis and reporting, including analyzing complex data
  • 4-7 years Project management. Experience managing project independently, engaging and getting buy-in from stakeholders, crafting roadmaps and project plans.
  • 2-4 years + years of managing teams of 5 or more resources in direct reporting relationship in analytics, strategy, or project management organization.
  • Management consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking experience preferred

  • Quantitative Analytics
    • Advanced analytical and quantitative skills, particularly modeling; strong bias towards databased decision making.
  • Financial Planning
    • Financial Planning Demonstrated ability to lead financial elements of the business, including budgets. Ability to measure, evaluate and act on financial and operational results.
  • Communication Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Executive Level Presentations Build and present executive-level business narratives
  • Cross Functional Relationships
    • Proven ability to work across organizational departments and develop positive relationships across a company. You can navigate across the organizations fluidly at multiple levels
  • Strategic Thinking:
    • Can articulate visions/strategies/ideas/proposals clearly and concisely
  • Managing Ambiguity:
    • Is comfortable working and leading in an environment of uncertainty and complexity. Understanding of, and the ability to navigate in, large complex organizations.
  • Leadership:
    • Lead by example, mentor and develop team.
    • Shown understanding of high-performing organizations. Thrives in organizations that constantly adapt and evolve.

Base Pay Range: $130,400 - $235,300

Corporate Bonus Target: 20%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year.
