The ‘Product Manager’ role at T-Mobile is a visionary, strategist, analyst, customer evangelist, respected leader of execution, and professional relationship builder all rolled into a single dynamic package. At T-Mobile, Product Managers wears many hats to successfully deliver delightful and differentiated products that drive growth and positively impact our customers lives. They have ownership of T-Mobile's internal and external products, platforms, services, and experiences and are ultimately accountable for achieving our broader business goals. 

Each day in the life of a Product Manager is different ranging from conducting market research, driving product requirements, defining long-term product strategy and roadmaps, helping drive product delivery by partnering with Engineering teams. Our Product Managers build bridges by aligning and effectively communicating with a broad range of stakeholders to drive product initiatives forward. 

This is a hybrid position required to be working in-office at least 3 days a week. 

Responsibilities: 

Product Vision & Strategy: 

  • Create, manage, maintain, and communicate product vision, roadmap, and backlog for product solutions with high levels of complexity and scope. 

  • Partner with internal and external team members, partners, and vendors to understand current customer experiences and identify areas of opportunity. 

  • Conduct analysis of quantitative and qualitative data to identify product innovation and enhancement opportunities 

  • Have a data-driven approach to product innovation and analysis. 

  • Leverage experimentation to drive product direction and prioritization. 

  • Communicate effectively with leadership to drive vision and alignment. 

  • Keep up with new and evolving tech trends and their impacts to create opportunities for product innovation. 

  • Collaborate and influence without authority across stakeholder teams, partners, and/or vendors. 

 

Voice of the Customer: 

  • Champion a customer-driven and ‘customer first’ approach. 

  • Have deep customer empathy and be a customer champion by using insights to drive product vision, strategy, and priority. 

  • Actively seek opportunities to delight or deliver on our customer’s unmet needs. 
     

Product Delivery: 

  • Translate product or platform strategy through detailed requirements consumable by development teams across complex multi-team initiatives. 

  • Own product backlogs and priorities with our business and technology partners.  

  • Collaborate with Architecture and development teams to manage long term technical investment while reducing or removing technical debt. 

  • Assist with the overall execution of the software development process, from defining the strategy and architecture through deployment and support. 

  • Identify and communicate technical challenges to stakeholders and make educated trade-off decisions. 

  • Be accountable for product quality, health, and performance metrics 

  • Identify and drive operational excellence to enhance product delivery (within sphere of influence). 

  • Create and maintain documentation and training materials for internal, external, and stakeholders. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree; Advanced degree preferred

  • 7 years of proficient ability in a product management role, with a focus on building technology products. 

  • Proactive and growth mindset with Product Lifecycle Management experience in delivering large and complex business/technology initiatives. 

  • Demonstrated leadership experience and success in large and highly cross-functional organizations to drive product growth. 

  • Ability to objectively leverage quantitative and qualitative analysis to evaluate the benefits and risks of products progressing through the product development pipeline.

  • A proven track record of and a desire to operate in a greenfield environment, building new frameworks, and processes. Make decisions quickly and iterate as you learn and progress.

  • Excellent writing, visual, and verbal communication skills and the ability to break down complex problems into smaller, manageable pieces or compelling narratives while employing a high degree of collaboration and influence.

  • An understanding of the technical, design, and UX implications of your functional requirements.

  • Experience in Product MVP development, innovation, and/or strategic initiatives, including working with marketing, engineering, and other cross-functional partners.

  • At least 18 years of age

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Base Pay Range: $121,600 - $219,400

Corporate Bonus Target: 20%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year.
