Position summary

T-Mobile is America’s supercharged Un-carrier, delivering an advanced 4G LTE and transformative nationwide 5G network that will offer reliable connectivity for all. Technology Sourcing Managers located in Overland Park, KS will be responsible for leading and managing all procurement (buying, negotiating, and fulfillment) activities.

Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Leverage all market and industry indicators to acquire products or services from external agencies in a cost-effective manner in line with T-Mobile’s stated strategy and defined service levels;

• Carry out duties in accordance with the stipulated business policies and procedures;

• Directly contribute to T-Mobile’s financial health earning success by establishing the price and terms T-Mobile pays for product and services from the supplier community;

• Provide data analytics, and RFx analysis for the category team;

• Manage and report on SLA and KPI compliance for all non-preferred or strategic suppliers;

• Manage relationships with external contractors/vendors/suppliers supporting Maintenance & Support Services through the procurement process, selection of appropriate vendor, overseeing service delivery and performance evaluation of services delivered;

• Ensure an updated database of suppliers and maintain cataloguing of recommended suppliers; and

• Investigate supply and financial risks of suppliers and takes appropriate actions.

Skill requirements:

•Strategic sourcing, including RFP and RFI Development for Software, Hardware, Professional Services, and Application Development and Maintenance (ADM) using Salesforce, Ivalua, Procurement IQ and SAP Ariba.

•Use Data Analysis and ROI evaluations to develop IT Labor cost baseline, assessing what-if scenarios and opportunities, and benchmarking roles and rates for suppliers across the Product and Technology enterprise using Suplari, Power BI, SAP Ariba and Microsoft Office suite applications.

•Build detailed financial performance metrics to evaluate the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for IT hardware, software, and labor acquisition using Suplari, Peoplesoft and Microsoft Office suite applications.

•Lead the Contracting and Negotiation efforts to develop governance and commercial models suiting business needs, including pricing negotiation, intellectual property licensing, and risk management using Salesforce and Microsoft Office suite applications.

•Develop Category Management playbook for IT Labor category, defining the forward-looking strategy to achieve Synergy and Procurement savings targets using Cirtuo and Procurement IQ.

•Leverage Lean Six Sigma to drive continuous process improvements that include cycle-time reduction, minimizing process variability, and technology adoption within the IT procurement and compliance using VISIO, Salesforce and Microsoft Office suite applications.

Experience and education requirements:

•PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related, and 3 years of relevant work experience.

•ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related, and 5 years of relevant work experience.

Telecommuting is permitted, but applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance.

Candidate’s pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience. At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
