Job Overview
The Sr Data Engineer designs and develops data architectures in on-premise, cloud and hybrid platforms. The Sr Data Engineer collaborates with Data Engineers on analysis, architecture, design, and development of data warehouse and business analytics solutions. This role mentors other team members in their efforts to build data engineering skillsets.

Job Description

We are looking for a Data Engineer who enjoys building systems that help teams use data more effectively. In this role, you will create data pipelines, support reporting tools, and help move data into cloud platforms so it can be analyzed and used to make better business decisions.

You’ll work with both technical and business teams to ensure data is organized, accessible, and reliable.

Job Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines that support reporting and analytics

• Design data solutions in cloud and hybrid environments

• Organize and transform different types of data so they can be used for analysis

• Help migrate data into cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

• Work with SQL and databases to structure and retrieve data

• Use Python and other programming languages to automate and process data

• Support project planning by helping estimate and scope technical work

• Share knowledge with teammates and help build team capabilities

• Contribute to presentations and updates for leadership

Education and Work Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Required)

• 4–7 years of experience working with cloud platforms

• 4–7 years of experience developing data solutions and moving data to the cloud

• Experience working with SQL, NoSQL, and databases

• Experience building data pipelines using Python or similar tools

Preferred Certifications

• Cloud platform certifications such as AWS or Microsoft Azure

• At least 18 years of age
• Legally authorized to work in the United States

Base Pay Range: $105,100 - $189,600

Corporate Bonus Target: 15%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year.
