Job OverviewThis role leads the development of T-Mobile's digital commerce technologies, enabling the company's strategic shift from retail and care-led to digital-first customer experiences. It exists to design and deliver scalable, secure, and cost-effective technology solutions that power the end-to-end "buy" journey—such as phone upgrades, new activations, and add-on services. By replacing complex, in-person transactions with intuitive digital self-service, the role directly supports revenue growth and significant cost reduction. It is central to executing T-Mobile's enterprise strategy, influencing core business operations and customer engagement at scale
Job Responsibilities:
- Formulates the technology vision of commerce services for T-Mobile customers, both internally and externally. Supports the development of the demand curve for evolving technology related to our various delivery channels such as mobile, web, retail, care, and t-mobile for business. Collaborates with functional areas such as Engineering, Systems & Strategy as well as other Functional Leaders to customize IT product and service offerings based on anticipated demand.
- Establishes IT roadmap in support of T-Mobile's business objectives. Leads the identification and development of new business opportunities both within COS's current customer base. Strengthens T-Mobile's value proposition by working towards the vision of delivering a World-Class IT Development organization.
- Leads the design, architecture, and engineering of all the T-Mobile commerce middleware ecosystem. This role must led the entire org in excellence in operational resiliency and security excellence as every transaction in the company flows through these platforms and APIs.
- Directs, the process of generating new product ideas and directions. Works effectively with peers and executive staff as appropriate to produce cohesive plan of action. Guides IT product development processes through testing, implementation and evaluation. Manages the internal and external feedback process on new and existing IT products and services. Defines & executes processes and plans to ensure timely alpha, beta and launch stages of IT product development. Promotes on-going communication between key staff who are involved as task force members for a given development effort.
- Recruits, trains, and develops exceptional engineering talent and leadership to support the teams mission.
- Manages the department’s budget, vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and similar to ensure prudent financial management of the department and attainment of the related financial targets.
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Related Field (Required)
- Master's/Advanced Degree Business Administration, Technology Management, or Related Field (Preferred)
- More than 10 years - Experience as an executive level manager within a high-tech organization of 30,0000+ employees.
- More than 10 years - Leading middleware and commerce systems development.

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as qualifications and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year.
